Slip Sheet

Slip sheet are thin pallet-sized sheet made of plastic, heavy laminated kraft paperboard, or corrugated fiberboard used in commercial shipping. Often, these replace the use of traditional wooden pallets. The unit load is usually stretch wrapped or shrink wrapped for stability.

Made of light-weight paperboard or recycled HDPE plastic, slip sheet replace pallet during shipment and are used with a Push/Pull forklift. Slip sheet have a weight that is about 10% of a pallet and take up minimal space. This translates to more products being shipped per shipment. Slip Sheets are also cost-effective enough to be discarded after each use. They are environmentally friendly as they can be easily assimilated into a recycling program.

Advantages:

  • Less costly than conventional pallets, material cost savings up to 80%.
  • Ship more products per container, transport cost savings up to 15%.
  • User-friendly handling
  • 100% reusable and recyclable.
  • Minimum space needed for the storage; 1000 Slip Sheet =1 m3, 1000 pallets = 70 m3
  • Improved hygiene
  • Eliminate pallet exchange program
  • No need for material return
  • Eliminate conventional pallet repair cost
  • No administration or circulation control
  • No need for treatment (ISPM 15)

PLASTIC SLIPSHEET

Plastic slip sheet offers a clean, durable, space saving option for your transport packaging needs.

They are designed to withstand the element; they won’t crack, won’t split and won’t absorb moisture. Thin and lightweight our slip sheets offer the ultimate alternative to wooden pallets, cardboard or fiber slip-sheets. Thinner, yet stronger means savings!

Our plastic slip sheet is manufactured from a proprietary blend of polyethylene, primarily high-density polyethylene (HDPE). The sheet is either co-extruded or laminated to provide a non-skid surface and the bottom of the sheets normally have a matte finish to help the load slide onto and off the platens of the push-pull unit.
